AFAICT, the only way you'll actually ever see that message is by manually messing with the URL to add a logid that doesn't exist or some sort of strange situation where the log entry is manually deleted from the database between the time Special:Log is opened and the show/hide link is clicked. plural support might be nice, but probably not necessary.
