Description

Were getting reports that Wikipedia V2.1 on iOS is crashing on basic usage.

  2. iOS version 4.2.1

12 2nd generation iPod touch

  1. Simply navigating to maybe 3 to 4 Wikipedia pages causes it to crash.

With the previous version of the app, it would only crash when trying to load very large images mainly.

And numerous others in the iTunes store.

Sadly there are no crash reports inside iTunes connect to give us more debugging detail yet.

New fixes just came in from Derk-Jan: https://github.com/wikimedia/wikipedia-iphone/commit/79accb5cc833f65327c7e7f239c97d00b7f37a3b

Is this all done and over with? Did we ship the final version through the App Store and confirm it doesn't crash?
