Allow users to watch all subpages of a top-level page
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: mike.lifeguard+bugs

Description:
This is especially useful for Wikibooks, where (at least on enbooks) a book is a hierarchical structure using the slash convention to get automatic links up the hierarchy. Users wanting to watch an entire book must currently watch all pages individually, but this doesn't allow them to watch for creation of pages they didn't anticipate being created.
Instead, this would watch all pages which are subpages of [[Booktitle]] (including talk pages). While [[1710]] (if implemented) would allow a user to watch all pages in the book's category, this relies on pages being properly categorized (which is not usually the case) and may not (depending on future implementation or not) provide the same functionality requested here.
