screen dump - Gadget-rtl.css - css problem in special Preferences - seen with IE Explorer 6.0.X - 02.jpg

Dear friends;

I am using Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp:sp2_gdr.070227-2254 on Windows XP SP2
and switched the user interface language to English at [[yi:special:Preferences]].

Normaly the tabs « User profile Skin Math Files Date and time Editing Recent changes Watchlist Search Misc » are shown site by site. In the screen dump you may see that this is not the case in Internet Explorer .

Please see also [[incubator:MediaWiki talk:Gadget-rtl.css]]
http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_talk:Gadget-rtl.css
which describes the same problem.

Best regards Reinhardt [[user:Gangleri]]

Minimized wiki page to show the bug

I took some time to remove all unrelevant parts from the page code, so we can have an easier way to tackle this problem. Attached file is an HTML file which contains only the revelant parts of a wiki page, and shows the bug when opened with IE 6.0.

It turns out that the problem happens when BODY's direction is set to RTL. I'm still working on the solution though.

I believe I fixed this bug with r30907; I should admit it was a tough one.
