I added the Citazione Necessaria template to my sandbox,
and added some text to its only parameter.

As a result I get an additional superscripted "Citazione necessaria" which is broken:

I tried to reproduce it but it did not happen.

I've seen this in users of Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS 10.8, and Linux. Editors have encountered this in at least Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Systematic testing of browsers can be seen at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Ceyockey/sandbox_spantest&action=history
