Multiple delete requests required for WiktionaryZ pages containing multiple languages
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: susanna.bjorverud

Description:
When deleting pages in the WiktionaryZ namespace (i.e. relational data) on
several occasions I have observed that the page does not really get deleted. It
can still be seen in Special/Allpages, and most obviously the link to the page
is still blue in the log over deleted pages (Special:Log/delete). However,
repeating the deletion request does remove the page completely.

All the pages where I have observed this behaviour are pages containing more
than one language, namely both English and English (US), pages which I have
previously disconnected from any DM, so that the only information available is
the language names. The error is easily reproducible by disconnecting all
Languages on a given page (that has more than one Language - note, I have only
tested on English/English (US)!) from any DM:s, then try to delete them using
the top tab.

Examples of words that I have observed this behaviour on:
WiktionaryZ:reproduction (biological), WiktionaryZ:stock (trade),
WiktionaryZ:substitutability (chemistry)

This has been solved some time ago (maybe by the update of Mediawiki, but not sure).

Also, I have changed the software so that the page is created only once, even when there are several languages.
