image exif metadata shows picture taken 'now'
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: ekb87ds02

Description:
On the image in the URL, the exif metadata shown tells me the picture was taken
this very moment (the description says it was taken in 2003). When I refresh
(some time later), the time does not change on meta, but does so for the same
page on en.wikipedia.org (where I am logged on), so I assume it's cached on meta
because I'm not logged on there.

If the picture file does not contain useful information in these fields, they
should be left blank instead of showing false data.

I suppose the picture file contains 0 as the date, which is then converted by
wfTimestamp into time().

The date was 0000:00:00 00:00:00, it now reports 'Unknown date' by
using the message 'exif-unknowndate'
