A user reported a malfunctioning of the blacklist on Meta (see URL above); I've done some tests and
noticed that URLs between <ref> tags are ignored by this extension.

A blacklisted link between <ref></ref> tags is allowed through if no <references /> tag is present on the page, however, when the <references /> tag is present (which would cause the footnote to emit the URL), the filter appears to be working.

Please give a specific example of problematic markup that is causing a blacklisted URL to be accepted.

Keep in mind that contents of a <ref> are never displayed or rendered anywhere if there is no <references/>, so they would do a spammer no good.
