Articles counter on [[be:]] ought to be updated
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: yury.tarasievich

Description:
The articles counter on [[be:]] got wrong after the migration from incubator, somehow. The semi-manual checking of pages in the articles' namespace for fulfilling the [[nosemicolon]] criterium yields quite bigger count.

So, please update the articles' counter on [[be:]]. As far as I understand, this is a matter of running the maintenance/updateArticleCount.php script.

Thanks.

There's a definite feeling on this side that the counter is still mis-functioning. Seemingly, "old" pages which were fixed (w/r to their content "qualifying" them to be counted as articles) *after* the update of the counter, are not included in the number shown by the NUMOFARTICLES template. Roughly counted there's about 1 thousand difference.

Therefore, I'm re-opening this bug, to see whether this would help.

Also, I'm asking if there couldn't exist some logical error in the NUMOFARTICLES, preventing it to count changes in the existing pages real-time?

Thanks.

So, how'll it be? Is it too much trouble?

I re-checked the pages and about 570 pages complying with the "article" specs aren't counted in, counter should be at least 5850+. So, the counter is missing about 10% of the total.

There is a moderate backlog of bugs requiring the attention of shell users. Please be patient.

The counter has been off by 14 articles, it's now 6841 instead of 6855.
