Description:
It's difficult to change conversion mode when editing. Sometimes, editors of wikis that uses automatic converter (such as Chinese Wikipedia) want to preview the document that they are editing in different conversion mode, but currently it's impossible. Please make it possible.

Modifying summary to indicate that this is a request to apply conversion on preview HTML instead of original wikitext.

Note that there's a gadget for this available on zhwiki, though I haven't tested it.

A year later... what is the situation of this problem?

So I think this can be resolved locally by forking this js?!
