Placeholder text is put into search box after typing something and removing it

Description

  1. Focus the search box. Placeholder text disappears
  2. Type something
  3. Remove what you typed
  4. Blur (unfocus) the search box

Placeholder text reappears, but is not styled as a placeholder and doesn't disappear when you focus the search box again.

This is probably specific to browsers that don't support the html5 placeholder property of input fields.
