It is a Mac only problem? Did you try clearing your browser cache?

Seems like Mac only, I tried in FF / Chrome on Windows / Ubuntu didnt face any issue. Wikibooks is new thing, where is the question of cache? There was no typing tool before Narayam on Wikibooks.

Adding the user to bug, will ask him to respond to requests. Any Mac users / testers at WMF?

Today morning (IST), a server update caused breaking of Narayam, it is fixed now. That is why I asked to clear browser cache.

This was tested and reported on Village pump on 18 September 2011, 07:56 (UTC). Was there any new fixes, saw there was one by Santhosh today. Will ask to retest if all fixes have gone in and will remind to clear cache

I get "அம்மா" on Firefox 6.0.2 (current stable version) on Mac OS X 10.7.1. Will double-check older Firefox on my other Mac at the office (running 10.6).

re-open if you confirm that this is still a problem.

Looks good on Firefox 3.6.22 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 as well -- so probably was an older breakage / cache issue.
