Add "suggest redirect" option to article not found pages
Open, LowPublicFeature

Description

Author: mediazilla

Description:
In the following two situations,

  • Search results when "No page with that title exists" (e.g.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=z-transforms&go=Go)

  • When trying to go directly to a non-existent page via a bookmarklet, e.g. from

the URL bar ("http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%s" ->
"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-transforms")

It would be nice to have an option to suggest a redirect target to an existing
page. For example, there is no page titled "Z-transforms" but there is a page
titled "Z-transform". It would be useful for later searchers to be redirected
automatically or be given a "Did you mean..." link.
