Greek omicron not available in math notation
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Greek alphabetic symbols are all available except omicron. <nowiki><math>\boldsymbol{\Omicron}</math></nowiki> and <nowiki><math>\boldsymbol{\omicron}</math></nowiki> both result in parser error. Strangely, replacing \omicron with ο (an actual omicron character) as in <nowiki><math>\boldsymbol{ο}</math></nowiki> seems to work. But this is an inconsistency since this technique will not work with other greek letters eg <nowiki><math>\boldsymbol{α}</math></nowiki>

While seeming a bit odd, this appears to be legit; LaTeX math mode code for omicron is just plain o according to everything I could turn up on Google.

support for \omicron and \Omicron in texvc

Please note that LaTeX math mode doesn't have commands for several other Greek letters either (eg. uppercase alpha). Since texvc adds them, it should similarly support omicron.
