Description

According to
http://ksh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spezial:MediaWiki-Systemnachrichten
both the messages "sitesupport" and "sitesupport-url" do not exist
locally (red link), and their associated texts are:

sitesupport : Donate
sitesupport-url : http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Donate

although according to
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/languages/messages/MessagesKsh.php?revision=35814&view=markup
we should have:

'sitesupport' => 'Spende',
'sitesupport-url' => 'Project:Spende',

Revision 35814 is current. Judging from messages altered since the revision before, such as newarticletext and others, it went life on the server already.

So, what is wrong with sitesupport, then?

Btw., we have a short local "Donations" page at [[:Project:Spende]] in our language, linking both to the above URL of the wmf, and to a similar page of Wikimedia Deutschland e.V.

sitesupport and sitesupport-url are Wikimedia-specific custom messages, whose defaults are set globally in the site configuration, overriding the general language defaults. This is what ensures that the donate links actually go somewhere by default!

You can override them locally on your wiki to point to a language-specific version.
