Redundant Atom/RSS feeds on Special:RecentChanges
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: Wiki.Melancholie

Description:
At [[Special:RecentChanges]] the web feeds are doubled:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="&quot;Special:RecentChanges&quot; RSS Feed" href="/w/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&amp;feed=rss" />
<link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="&quot;Special:RecentChanges&quot; Atom Feed" href="/w/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&amp;feed=atom" />
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Wikipedia RSS Feed" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&amp;feed=rss" />
<link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="Wikipedia Atom Feed" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&amp;feed=atom" />

Both RSS and both Atom feeds do link to Special:RecentChanges, so this is just redundant!
Only use the "&quot;Special:RecentChanges&quot; ... Feed" ones.

BTW: On Special:RecentChangesLinked and history pages, the behaviour is all right. But in general it maybe would be more appropriate to call the RC feeds "&quot;Special:RecentChanges&quot; ... Feed" and not blanketly "Wikipedia ... Feed".
