Description:
Hello,

would it be possible to update the old DynamicPageList-extension? I'm missing some of the really good functions that are explained at http://semeb.com/dpldemo/DPL:Manual .

Thank you,
Der Hausgeist

What do you mean? Do you mean that the DPL-version on the wikimedia-servers is modified or the new version is modified? If you mean the second thing, I must say that the version that I linked to is the actual version of this extension and not one modified version by anyone.

Note: those are two separate extensions that are maintained separately, not simply an updated version of the same extension. (Intersection/DynamicPageList does not equal DPL)

Not sure if this should be marked as a duplicate to Bug 15477 (that one's for nl wikibooks, this one is for de wikinews, but same request). The comments on Bug 15477 (not to mention popular rumour) seem to indicate this is unlikely to happen.

Changing component to "Site requests"
Raising severity to "normal"
Make sure all bugs have the "shell" keyword

Removing shell keyword, since unless things have changed thats only for one its ready for the shell people to do something. This bug is requesting that an unreviewed extension (that has XSS vulnrabilities in it) be deployed...

I'm marking this wontfix (mostly because there's no point in keeping it open if its not going to happen):
*A whole bunch of other DPL2 extension install requests were marked as such (bug 8672)
*The extension is super-inefficient on some queries
*The extension is full of security vulnerabilities
