when protected pages are moved, it should be protected by MediaWiki default
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When protected pages are moved by non-admin user, following sentence leaves in protection log (just an example):

  • 09:44, 3 October 2008 Non-admin user (Talk | contribs) protected "ExamplePage2" ‎ (ExamplePage moved to ExamplePage2) (hist)

It may be confusing to other user. So it should be:

  • 09:44, 3 October 2008 MediaWiki default (Talk | contribs) protected "ExamplePage2" ‎ (This page was automatically protected because user moved from ExamplePage to ExamplePage2) (hist)

Thank you.

Actually, I'd say that phrasing it as "AdminUser protected ExamplePage2 (ExamplePage1 was protected and then moved here)" would be more accurate :)

Why not have the protection logged under the protecting admin, as is done with autoblocks?
