When editing the user signature in preferences, it would be most useful if a preview of what it will put on a page was provided - taking into account if raw signatures are selected.

Since the signature varies depending on the number of ~ characters used, a list of the most common and the resulting signature would be the best way to illustrate this. Should space constraints limit what can be displayed, showing the most common "~~~~" and how it will display could have a tooltip with the others when you pass the mouse over it.
