Hide action which contains insulting user name from Special:Log
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

If I hide a user name via global permission "hideuser" that user name is removed from Special:Log/newusers and /block. But if that user has created socks like it was done here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=User:Thogo%20=%20Thomas%20Goldammer. (don't miss the dot at the end!) the creating user name is hidden but not the sock account, although I've hidden both! Could you please hide (or strike [like it's done on Special:Ipblocklist]) those lines on the logs which contain links to accounts which were hidden via global permission "hideuser"?

Kind regards
DerHexer

I originally wanted to dupe this to bug 14476, but this is about /local/ hiding...

I think this was fixed by r48641 - now we don't let admins (ie those without the rights to use wpHideUser) to modify the blocks. What happened here (it seems) is that NawlinWiki modified the block after you did - but since he can't use wpHideUser, it wasn't a hidden block & so we can see it in the log. That's badness, but shouldn't be possible any longer. Such things can be cleaned up by re-blocking with wpHideUser and having an oversighter clean the logs.

Yes, done in r48886. This should be synced by now.
