Description:
Hi,

Wikibooks fy: has a logo with the translated name ready (URL indicated at "URL").
It does not have the motto, as that translates poorly to Frisian. That would mean this is the definite version, and it would be nice to see it activated on the wiki.

Please protect the file (full protection, forever) before this is set.

Also, the logo looks like rather low quality compared to the current one. In particular, the text is blocky. Could the creator try to reduce that?

As Mike points out, please protect the image. Also, he is correct, the compression looks blocky.

I have updated the config to point at this file, so you can correct it even though it is live.

I've protected the image for you as it's unacceptable to have $wgLogo unprotected.

Hi,

In order of comment:

  • Are you sure I have the right to do so?
  • No, it doesn't; it looks slightly less quality.
  • I would expect I didn't have the rights to do so, and I don't know.
  • As several people must have pointed out before, please check your calender instead of your clock.
  • Yes, he is, more or less, but no he didn't mention "compression".
  • Thank you, can you elaborate on that?
  • Thank you; and here I saw that you did and thought you had simply done that as part of the procedure.

I even came here just to thank you for it.
Silly me.

Well, I tried to make a higher-quality version & uploaded it. I've also put the svg it was derived from at Commons: [[commons:File:Wikibooks-logo-fy.svg]]. If there's anything else, you can email me or write on my talk page (bugzilla isn't a discussion board).
