Following problem is reported.

While editing pages with the new "beta" interface, the interface often gets into a state where additional editing inside the "edit window" becomes impossible. The cursor cannot be placed within the edit window in this state. This state appears to occur after using the main scrollbar on the browser window, and indeed it has just occurred as I entered this comment! I am using Internet Explorer 8.0. The problem does not occur with the previous interface. [[User:Easchiff|Easchiff]] 11:19, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Update: this problem does not seem to happen with the Firefox browser; I'm using version 3.0.1 . [[User:Easchiff|Easchiff]] 20:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

This bug was specific to the textarea code and shouldn't be happening any more now that we use an iframe. Marking as FIXED since the code in question isn't being used any more and we're not messing around as much as we used to to make IE behave.

I'm adding Calcey folks to cc so that they can verify if the reported problem is resolved in the next run of cross-browser testing.
