Prerequisites

• have a login with a user with one or more new messages
• have a user that has the ability to delete pages

Steps to reproduce

1. Log in with the user with new messages
2. Check the message count

Observed: new message count is x.

3. Delete a page that is counted as a new message. Often seen is that a reply is posted multiple times, because of a user hitting "Save" multiple times
4. Check the message count for user with new messages

Observed:

• message count has not changed
• the page that was deleted is no longer shown on Special:NewMessages

Expected behaviour: message count is consistent with what is shown on Special:NewMessages
