changes outline to output wikicode and uses wikicode headers
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: slithytove2

Description:
This patch changes the output of the line to use wikicode bullets, rather than html.

It also changes the outline format to use == notation for headers, instead of the font styling used before.

It would be best if there was a way to specify which option you like (as using headers wouldn't always be the best), but I don't know how to do this. I thought I should share it anyway.

Assigning to myself - I wasn't aware of this patch until now.

Christopher - is there an advantage to using wiki-text instead of HTML? As far as I know, all the result formats currently output HTML.

The only advantage to using wikitext that I saw the reduced size requirements. This change was spurred on by my need to have the outline show up in the table of contents (and I wasn't sure if doing it in HTML would put it in the TOC).

The wiki-parser will transform any specific wiki-code into HTML therefore it seems unnecessary to output wiki specific syntax since its get transformed at a later stage.

If their is a real advantage of using wiki-code instead of HTML, please feel free to iterate more exhaustively but for now I will close this bug but since it has been open for nearly 2 years.

Feel free to re-open this bug if necessary.
