geotag recent changes rss feed with IP geolocation or page/file coordinates
Open, LowestPublicFeature

Description

Author: jsalsman

Description:
The RSS feed of Recent Changes should be enhanced with GeoRSS coordinates when available from IP address editing, or page or file upload coordinates (e.g. using the {{coords|...}} template or uploaded file geocoding.) This would allow a more visually interesting depiction of recent changes when they are being used to show representative edits.

I it would probably be best to include only the first three paragraphs of the diff in such a feed, and if there is some way to get a thumbnail of the page's first File/Image when available, that would be even better.

I asked about this on IRC, and something like it was already done on the old stable toolserver, but it wasn't moved to the new toolserver as far as I can tell.

Reminder to suggest abbreviated diffs (already suggested) and perhaps the first 1000 characters of the article's introduction?
