Description

I have a theora/vorbis .ogv video that I tried to upload, but firefogg would not upload it. It simply stayed at 0% in the little blue progress dialog.

do you have any other addons installed? like live headers or firebug, can you try with those disabled? this would help us to track down the issue, thanks

I tried with every one of my plugins and extensions disabled except firefogg. I've tried with a few different .ogv files, but it hangs at the beginning (saying either 0% uploaded or 0% transcoded). Is it supposed to reencode files that are already in the right formats?

My system is Ubuntu 9.10, Firefox 3.5.7, Firefogg 1.1.2

Firefogg works for me from the Tools menu in the browser, just not on Commons.

Could you please repeat the steps with updated software?

Firefogg is no longer supported/developed under the Wikimedia umbrella, hence closing this ticket as WONTFIX for the scope of Wikimedia.
In the Wikimedia software architecture, Firefogg has been mostly superseded by http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TimedMediaHandler .

If the problem reported here is still reproducible in Firefogg, please feel free to file a report under https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefogg where current Firefogg development is located.

I am sorry for the inconvenience and that this report was not investigated in a timely manner back when it was filed. Thanks for your understanding.
