Steps to Reproduce ::

  1. Type a name in the link box

Expected Outcome::
Text to display should display text as the link name.

Test Environment::
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.249.89 Safari/532.5

For example : Type Sun and stop typing in the link. You will see that n is not there in the Text to display box

From this I gather that when you type stuff into the "Link target" box, the text in the "Link text" box is one character behind all the time, updated summary accordingly.

You seem to have forgotten the attachment, but if my conclusion above was right you don't need to provide it.

I disagree. If people accidentally do insert a link to a nonexistent page, the last letter of the text will drop off and they'll have to spend time figuring out why the hell that happened. This feature is broken and should be easy to fix.

As far as I can determine this is no longer a problem.
