Suppressed content is not hidden in RSS/Atom feeds on enwiki

Description:
I'm confused about this, because I can't reproduce it on a local installation, on svn head or on the ~r56400 version that WMF's currently running. But if you look at the suppression log (those that can) and find a recently-suppressed item, and view its RSS/Atom feed, the revision text is not concealed, even if it was suppressed in the edit.

I've tried all manner of things to try and get the text to hide:

  • editing the page; adds the new revision to the top of the feed, but doesn't affect the older revisions
  • Deleting and undeleting the page - feed blanks when the page is deleted, but then comes back again
  • Fully suppressing the username/comment - hides the relevant bits in the feed, but not the text content

I'm reasonably confident that the 'nuclear option' of HideRevision would work to properly conceal the edits; but I don't really want to go that far. The problem does not occur on testwiki; edits there disappear from feeds immediately. I'm thoroughly confused.

I can still reproduce this bug on it.wikipedia

btw, this does not appear to be an issue for normal revDelete (that admins can do). It won't show the revision unless you have proper rights to see it.

Without looking sounds like it might be some sort of caching happening in the feed... Does it always stay there or does it fix it self after awhile? But I thought tim gave those a no-cache header (but then that wouldn't explain test wiki)

Is this still an issue?

Brownout / Happy-melon: Can you still reproduce this problem in a current MediaWiki version (like 1.19.2)?

I guess this isn't an issue any more then, and I can't reproduce it, so resolved worksforme.
