Description:
I'm confused about this, because I can't reproduce it on a local installation, on svn head or on the ~r56400 version that WMF's currently running. But if you look at the suppression log (those that can) and find a recently-suppressed item, and view its RSS/Atom feed, the revision text is not concealed, even if it was suppressed in the edit.
I've tried all manner of things to try and get the text to hide:
- editing the page; adds the new revision to the top of the feed, but doesn't affect the older revisions
- Deleting and undeleting the page - feed blanks when the page is deleted, but then comes back again
- Fully suppressing the username/comment - hides the relevant bits in the feed, but not the text content
I'm reasonably confident that the 'nuclear option' of HideRevision would work to properly conceal the edits; but I don't really want to go that far. The problem does not occur on testwiki; edits there disappear from feeds immediately. I'm thoroughly confused.
