Some interwiki links direct to wrong language
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Author: ehjjmail

Description:
On the simple.wikipedia project, links that start with:
[[:wikt:x]] link to simple.wiktionary, while
[[:wiktionary:x]] link to en.wiktionary!

Both of these prefixes should link to simple.wiktionary, and the user should have to specify [[:en:wikt:x]] or [[:en:wiktionary:x]] to create a link to en.wiktionary.

Please fix [[:wiktionary:x]] interproject links to direct to simple.wikitionary.

Thank you,
EhJJ

Isn't this expected behavior? w: points to Wikipedia in the local language, while wikipedia: points to the English Wikipedia. Seems somethings similar applies to wikt: and wiktionary:

Yes, it appears this is expected behaviour. I think this could be better explained at [[:meta:Help:Interwiki linking]] and will take it to the talk page there. Thank you for your help. I have flagged this as resolved.
