Make Special:ActiveUsers sortable by number of edits
Open, LowPublicFeature

Description

I was wondering if would it be simple to have the list [[Special:ActiveUsers]] sortable by the number of edits. Currently it only sorts by alfabetical order.

This would make that list more usefull when looking at the most active users of a wiki...

bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

I suppose that could be done. The query is already "Using index; Using temporary; Using filesort", changing the ORDER BY from rc_user_text to recentedits doesn't change that.

Is this the same as bug 62443 ? I assume naturally that if a solution is found for sorting ActiveUsers by numbers of edits it should be trivial to include non-editing actions e.g. deletion and page protection.
