We have a report that uploading .odp files does not work on wikimania2010wiki:

Is it possible to enable openoffice formats on this wiki?

• bzimport raised the priority of this task from to Lowest.Nov 21 2014, 11:09 PM

• bzimport set Reference to bz23829.

• bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

Those formats are compressed (zip) files, thus they produce security risks which is why they are restricted.

Closing as WONTFIX per comment #1. ZIP uploads need to be forbidden to protect against the GIFAR vulnerability.

Reopening. If there are security concerns you can restrict upload to sysops or to an ad-hoc user group, isn't this enough?
