You are correct; Bug 23456 is a duplicate, but this description is better, so I'm going to leave this one open and dupe out 23456, even though it has a MUCH MUCH MUCH cooler bug number.

Design issue at this point; I am taking it.

Seems to work now (a since quite a long time ago), at least I see alt+shift+p in Firefox on Linux.

Still not working on mw.org.

  1. Go to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Thread:VisualEditor/Feedback/Handling_ref_with_trailing_slash_does_not_work_correctly
  2. Click on "Reply"

The buttons will have these tooltips:

  • Save your changes [s]
  • Preview your changes, please use this before saving! [p]

In other words, the prefix "Alt+Shift+" will be missing.

I tested with Firefox 33 on Linux.

Same problem on Google Chrome 38, where the prefix would be "alt-shift+"

LiquidThreads has been replaced by StructuredDiscussions on all Wikimedia production wikis (except one, which will be done soon). It is no longer under active development or maintenance, so I'm re-classifying all open LQT tasks as "Lowest" priority.
