"the search button jumps" would indicate that it starts in the right position and then moves to the wrong position after a certain user action. Is there something I need to do to get it to jump?

Found it: hover over the watch icon -- that's when i jumps. Although, I noticed that when a page is loading, the icon appears in the worng position and then jumps to the correct position.
