Description:
- Go to preferences, mark option "edit pages on a double-click (javascript)" and then save.
- Start a *new* discussion in LiquidThreads, and write a couple of words.
- Preview the edit, then select any one of the words in the edit box, by double-clicking it.
RESULT: The double-click starts an edit of the discussion page header and looses all info about the message that was being created. Same happens if you click anywhere else on the page, not just the edit box.
This tends to be particularly upsetting for two reasons:
- I have lost hours of work already because of this. One does a few changes and page previews, say spending 30 minutes overall, then double-clicks anything on the page and all that work is simply gone.
- Double-clicking is standard interface interaction for selecting an entire word on the screen. So people double-click often and for many reasons, not necessarily related to the MediaWiki preference.
This problem doesn't occur when *replying* to a LiquidThread discussion, only when *creating* a new discussion.
