I don't think so. We should fix this problem as soon as possible. This problems makes using interwiki link highly inconvenient.

Cause this, Interwiki bots are crash. and we can't insert interwikis in articles. If we insert [[en:Wikinews:Copyright]], It go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikinews:Copyright , no http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:Copyright . So this problem must fix in ASAP.

We always have this problem when creating a new wiki...
