I have tried this extension on a demo wiki I setup, and tried to use it with a template, however, I get redirects to the main page, even though it does not contain the template. It works, but it needs tweeking so it doesnt go to random pages (unqualified) as well.

There is only one wiki using it according to wikiapiary.com, ecwiki, running 1.16.2, and it doesnt appear to work.

If it hasnt been maintained since 1.15-ish, the wiki page needs to be saying that, and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/mediawiki-extensions-advancedrandom/ should also say it is no longer supported (or link to the extension page on wiki)
