Special:Nuke "Select All"/"Select None" buttons
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: wiki

Description:
Special:Nuke allows a Commons Admin to select all or some of a User's recent uploads and delete them with one click. It provides a list of the proposed deletions, with a check box for each. The check boxes are all initially checked.

This is fine, but if the User has 2,000 uploads in the list and the Admin wants to delete 250 of them, it is faster to create a DR and use DelReqHandler, which requires only one click per item, but needs two page loads per item. If Special:Nuke had a "Select None" button, it could make these cases easier.

Since people may click "Select None" in error, there should probably also be a "Select All".

As a work around, pressing shift while clicking, should allow batch check/uncheck

Aha. That works. All we really need, then, is a line or two telling Admins that on the page. Thanks.

Too late, I already added Select All/None links. Fixed in rev 77538.

Too late, I offered a solution 6 hours ago ;)

Ryan, if you're interested, bug 25629 is something similar for CodeReview. I looked at trying to do it nicely, but the table pager thing is a bit of a PITA...

Perhaps I misunderstand, but I see no change. The only buttons are "Delete selected" at the top and the bottom of the list. (And, yes, I have emptied my browser cache and purged the page).

Just because it's been "fixed" in SVN, doesn't mean it's live on wikipedia. =)

Once the Nuke extension gets redeployed to the cluster, you'll see the change on the live servers. Unfortunately, that could be months or years from now, but most likely within 6 months.
