Marking it as "major". It's certainly not an "enhancement" and it's not quote "normal" either.

To me it also happens in he.wp and he.ws.

It does not happen in Internet Explorer, but it does happen in Firefox and Chrome.

I've found vanilla chrome isn't fine, incognito chrome is fine, and FF is fine...

It is still happening to me, both on Firefox and Chrome. There are also reports of the problem on Opera 11.

Yes, I still have the problem.
I tried to login on en.wikibooks using Google Chrome 8.0.552.200 beta and right after getting the message "Login sucessful", and going to [[b:Special:Watchlist]], I was not logged in again.

Sometimes the logout only happens after some minutes, when I change to another wikimedia project.

I have been trying to duplicate this with Google Chrome 8.0.552.237 (Official Build 70801) and not having any luck. Try upgrading?

I just went to English Wiktionary, using Google Chrome 8.0.552.237, and clicked on "Log in / create account"[1]. Then I checked "Remember my login status on this computer" and "logged in". Immediatelly after that, clicking on [[Special:Watchlist]] I got "Not logged in".

This is all on the same computer; so if it were just me I'd think it was browser specific. BUT, with all of the other reports and my prior experience, that gets thrown out the window.

Per that bug, some of these problems may be caused by the live hack I put in to try to fix them in the first place. I have now taken that out.

Thank you, it worked ! The problem disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared. The situation is back to normal as far as my SUL bug is concerned.

If you're having more or less the same problem at Wikipedia, GMail and Facebook all at the same time, it's way more likely that it's something on your browser's end, rather than Wikimedia, Google and Facebook engineers all making the same mistake at the same time. Re-closing as fixed.

It does sound like the problem is not with Facebook or Wikipedia, but with your computer. I'm closing this bug INVALID. Please let someone else re-open it if they have the problem consistently on Wikipedia but not other sites.
