Warning messages should handle redirects
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

AbuseFilter allows using MediaWiki pages as custom warning messages to users. However, most wikipedias already use warning messages in the Template namespaces. The obvious solution is to allow redirect from the MediaWiki pages to the corresponding Templates.

Doesn't sound so obvious to me, can't you just include the template in the MediaWiki message?
Anyway, usually you'd want to use a specific warning, which also explains what the abuse filter is etc. or at least gives a link.

I don't remember why it was so obvious to me back then, either (some problem with including templates, perhaps?). I do remember that we prefer to use pre-existing messages in order to keep the text as centralised as possible.

Well, transcluding them works.
