  1. Navigate to the wikimedia main page using Firefox.
  2. Click on the 'Community portal'

Actual results:
'Community portal' link directs to the Yahoo page.
Note: only from Firefox

Expected results:
Correct page should be displayed

Hmm, maybe the 404 from the non-existant page is causing Firefox to redirect to the default search engine?

Maybe a list of your installed Firefox extension is useful?
