When I visit the following URL http://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Collection/render_collection/&colltitle=Wikibooks:Collections/Linear_Algebra , I eventually get the following error:

Unfortunately the timeout can't be increased since this increases the load on the servers too much.

Agreed. I've seen people complain about this *exact* same error before, and the stack trace is less than useful.

FWIW, I don't think WONTFIX is the correct answer here, but I don't know Collection so it's not my call.

Just a note about the error - the formatting looks fine in this bug, but because it is just spat out without any HTML formatting it all runs on to one line. At *least* put some <br/> tags after the end of the line, please!

I agree that the error message is not helpful. Fixing this is currently not planed though.
