'Search' text box is not align properly

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to WikiMedia main page.
  2. Observe the 'Search' text box.

Actual results:
Internet Explorer 7

  1. 'Search' text box is overlap with the wiki editor.
  2. 'Search' button icon is not display.

Firefox 3.6

  1. 'Search' button icon is not display.

This may be the same issue as bug 26041.

Adding this to the blocker list for the 1.17 deployment, because it shows up on the prototype wiki.

As I said above, I guess that this is the same as bug 26041. Probably someone just needs to set

$wgEnableMWSuggest = false;

so SimpleSearch and MWSuggest are not active at the same time.

This sounds like an unrelated issue. The issue reported is the browser can't download http://prototype.wikimedia.org/rc-en/skins/vector/images/search-ltr.png?301-19 not that two search boxes are appearing.


This currently Works for me. I assume at some point prototype had the wrong path set for where skin elements were loaded from, and was subsequently fixed. I am closing as works for me. If the issue is still present please re-open.
