Show template redirects differently than directly included templates
Open, MediumPublic

Description

When editing pages that contain templates, the usual behavior was that all the templates in the article would show at the bottom of the page. If one of the templates was a redirect, the target would also show, but with no idication of the relationship.

Since the upgrade to 1.17, only directly included templates show up. The previous behavior should be restored, and perhaps an indication of the redirect relationships should be introduced. For example, at http://ro.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Florea_Cioac%C4%83&action=edit we should have something like:

  • Format:Cutie muzician (modificare) → Format:Infocaseta muzician (modificare)

Version: unspecified
Severity: normal
URL: http://ro.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Florea_Cioac%C4%83&action=edit

[[Format:Infocaseta muzician]] is appearing correctly in the list of used templates for me.

Agreed, worksforme in 1.17, but I think your suggestion for how to display the redirects is worth consideration, so retitling the bug.
