are recognized by the software, but not links like

*[ircs://freenode/wikimedia-tech #wikimedia-tech]

This should be pretty easy to implement

• bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

From the looks of it, it's just an addition to the skin css...

For the images, yes. You'll also need to add it to $wgUrlProtocols in DefaultSettings.

I thought it was part of the Wikimedia bugzilla skin, but it's not! Tracking upstream at bug 28509.

Fixed during Berlin bugsmash with r88081
