For a start, have you noticed there are site issues currently?
It was waiting on new hardware to be installed, and then you've got to wait for things to catch up
It's not only commons with search problems atm

Yup, and it's not being done purposely to be annoying either
As of a couple of hours ago, there was setup being performed on the new/upgraded search indexer, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer before the queue starts to subside

marking fixed, the new boxes are in and slowing updating, the issues/index will slowly self correct over the next few days.
