Cannot save Wikipedia edits

Description

When trying to view certain pages on en.wikipedia the following error is thrown:
This wiki has a problem

Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.
Try waiting a few minutes and reloading.

(Cannot contact the database server: Can't connect to MySQL server on '10.0.6.41' (4))

Some pages are accessible; but when saving, either the above error is thrown, or the following:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

(SQL query hidden)

from within function "GlobalUsage::insertLinks". Database returned error "1290: The MySQL server is running with the --read-only option so it cannot execute this statement (10.0.6.41)".

I suspect this was an intermittent problem. Do you still have this problem?

There was a problem with the commons master last night

It was fixed a couple of hours later

This is happening again, and has been for over 1 hour now. Message is usually:

Wikipedia has a problem

Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.
Try waiting a few minutes and reloading.

I believe that was due to an unrelated outage.
