On Wikipedia there is the
[[Category:Wikipedia books by "average" rating]]
which sorts the Wikipedia books by average rating according to
[[Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment]]
I think the ArticleFeedback tool could provide something similar, so that users could get average rating of the pages:
- Belonging to an specific book from a Wikibooks/Wikisource project by either specifying either:
- A category containing all pages of the group
- E.g.: [[b:Category:Radiation Oncology]], [[Category:Algebra]]
- The name of a common prefix for the titles of all pages in the group
- E.g.: [[b:Special:PrefixIndex/Radiation_Oncology]],
- A category containing all pages of the group
[[s:Special:PrefixIndex/A_Book_of_the_Riviera]]
- A page countaining links to each page of the group
- E.g.: [[Book:Plutonium]], [[s:Index:Book of the Riviera.djvu]],
[[b:Radiation Oncology]]
(For Wikibooks/Wikisources, these are the current ways used to group the book's pages, until someone fixes bug 15071)
- Some other alternative...
This feature could be useful in situations such as:
- The community of a Wikibooks/Wikisource project wants to chose a featured book and is interested in knowing the average rating of its pages
- The users wants to know the general average of the articles about a specific subject
- Something else...
