Currently the Articles app on iPhone has a nifty collapsed display of infoboxes. When you select them .. they open to surface all detailed content.

This probably needs infoboxes to be somewhat integrated / recognized by MediaWiki (extension or core). The Articles app is likely specific to en.wikipedia.org and goes through HTML to find it (if en-wiki would change their template it'd brake)

Since infoboxes are tables I am closing in favour of bug 36936 which is a more generic solution
