Place backreferences after the footnotes
Open, MediumPublicFeature

Description

It would be useful if, in the references list, the backreference links (^, ^ a b, etc) were placed at the end of the footnote, so that the entries would be aligned to the left, and could be quickly inspected by author name (if they, as they should, follow the same citation standard). This also allows easier inspection to ensure the very following of these standards.

Apart from the usage benefits above, such a change would also improve the aesthetic appearance of the references list. And, at least from the top of my head, I can't think of any downsides.
