Trying to get comment from i18n and shell folks

Reading bug 22616 it seems that the core namespace have already been done for rowikinews too, and only custom namespaces remain to be changed. Is this correct?

Yes, it is correct. I now read the bug again and the custom namespaces are in the wiki config (duuh, stupid me).

So please change the custom namespaces and create redirects from the old values to the new ones. Thanks.

This config looks pretty good to me, except for ns=4 (project name). Where is this translated, I can't find it in translatewiki? If it is only in the site config, we would need the following:

• the main name should be "Wikiștiri"
• a new alias should be created, named "Wikiştiri"

The project namespace is translated on a per-wiki basis, so this is in the Wikimedia configuration, not on TranslateWiki.

So what remains to be done for this shell request is changing the project namespace and adding an alias.

According to http://ro.wikinews.org/w/api.php?action=query&meta=siteinfo&siprop=general|namespaces|namespacealiases|statistics , you did not create the alias named "Wikiştiri". Also, the alias for NS 5 should be named "Discuţie Wikiştiri".

Visually I can't see any difference. And seemingly, neither can Google Chrome

There might be some problem with my input. Im gonna write them down in URL format. We need a new alias "Wiki%C5%9Ftiri" for NS4 and the lias fot NS5 should be named "Discu%C5%A3ie Wiki%C5%9Ftiri".

I'm pretty sure right now the alias is "Discu%C5%A3ie Wiki%C8%99tiri"

If you grab http://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/InitialiseSettings.php.txt and make a copy, can you make the necessary updates to it, then provide a diff between the 2 versions?
